2018 Tohatsu 9.8 Hp MFS9.8BEFUL Outboard Motor has set the standard in portable outboard power. At just 81.5 lbs. for the base model, the 9.8hp is the lightest four-stroke in its class! If you crave the quietness and fuel economy of a four-stroke, smoothness of a twin-cylinder, and lightweight portability that won’t break your back or the bank, the Tohatsu 9.8 is for you.

The 9.8 includes all 8hp features plus enhancements such as a larger carburetor and propeller for increased power. The 9.8 is offered in 15″, 20″, and 25″ shaft lengths making it an excellent choice for jon boats, small skiffs and inflatables, as well as sailboat and “kicker” or trolling auxiliary applications
